X factor hopefuls are alleged to have trashed their hotel room after a party to celebrate the end of rehearsals got out of hand.

Police were called to the Premier Inn hotel in Wembley Park Drive, Wembley on Friday night after staff found the wannabe pop stars partying loudly.

The hotel is near the Wembley Stadium where the live finals of the show are held.

No arrests were made.

A Premier Inn spokeswoman said: "A few X Factor contestants got carried away and were over excited.

"At Premier Inn, we want to ensure that all our guests have the best possible experience so we politely asked the contestants to return to their rooms and keep the noise down."

A X Factor spokeswoman for the said: "Contestants had an opportunity to relax after a week of intense rehearsal and performance.

"We have spoken to the individuals concerned, who have apologised for their behaviour.
